Adding to the buzz for Kartik Aaryan’s next project, Chandu Champion, the actor has shared the second poster from the film. The new poster shows the actor standing inside a boxing ring, flaunting his chiselled body and bruises on his face.

Chandu Champion's second poster unveiled

Taking to Instagram, Kartik Aaryan shared a monochrome poster of himself from the film Chandu Champion. The poster showcases Kartik wearing boxing shorts and boxing gloves. With sweaty hair and bruises on his face, he appears to be giving a daring look to his opponent in the ring. He captioned the poster, “In the ring of life you have to keep fighting till your last breath to become a champion. Champion Aa raha hai ..#ChanduChampion 🇮🇳 14thJune.”

Helmed by Kabir Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Chandu Champion, starring Kartik Aaryan, will hit the theatres on June 14.

Netizens react to Chandu Champion poster

Kartik’s fans and colleagues from the industry immediately took note of the post and appreciated the actor’s dedication to his work. Actor Ronit Bose Roy wrote, “Oh Damn!!!!!! I met you when you had started preparing for this. I had sensed something awesome but this photo signals something beyond awesome. Now can’t wait to view the movie!”

One social media user wrote, “trying a different genre, different type of role & coming out of your comfort zone, having this level of TRANSFORMATION is INSANE! So Proud Of You! No Words Left..!!”.  Another netizen said, “This looks insane!!! I cannot wait to see you in cinemas. See you at the movies Kartik on 14th June, 2024.”

Director Kabir Khan penned an emotional note for Karik on his Instagram handle and shared the same poster image. The caption read, "Chandu Nahi… Champion Hai Mai… The story of Chandu Champion is an incredibly inspiring true story but the journey that Kartik went through to become this champion is no less inspiring. I met him when he had put on weight for a role. He had 39 per cent body fat. I told him that he had to portray an international level multi-disciplinary sportsperson. He just smiled and said “ I will do it Sir”. A year and a half later with no use of steroids - something that he was adamant about - we took this photo on set. Body fat 7 per cent!! I’m proud of you @kartikaaryan."

Kartik reposted the caption on his Instagram handle and expressed gratitude for having Kabir on his side. The caption read, "My Biggest Reward. Thank you @kabirkhankk Sir for being the biggest motivator and being by my side on every step of this transformational journey.."

The actor shared the first picture from the film on his Instagram on May 15 and revealed the release date of the film to be June 14. Flaunting his lean body, Kartik was seen running on a barren ground, drenched in sweat.

Chandu Champion is a sports drama based on the life of India's first Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar who made the country proud in the 1972 Paralympics held in Germany.
