All the eyes are now trained on the svelte Ananya Panday. The reason? Well, after having made a splashing debut on the silver screen with the Karan Johar film Student of the Year 2, she is now all set to make her OTT debut with Call Me Bae. Ever since the time the series was announced, it has been making news and for all the right reasons.
The much-awaited series Call Me Bae, is now all set to be released (read ‘streamed’) tomorrow on Amazon Prime. With Ananya in the centre, the list of supporters and well-wishers have always been never ending. This time round, leading the gang of Ananya’s supporters is none other than her BFF Sara Ali Khan.
Sara, on her part, took to social media and showered many words of praise for Ananya Panday. She posted, ‘Tooooooo much fun So so so proud of you @collindcunha Congratulations @ananyapanday this is your BEST’. As an icing on the cake, she added generous emojis at the right places.
Well… she was not the only one to sing praises about Call Me Bae. Besides her, there was also Anurag Kashyap’s daughter Aaliyah Kashyap who just could not stop praising the series. She posted, "SO SO GOOD!!!! Laughed way too hard and cannot wait to binge the whole thing on September 6th!!!! Congo everyone!!!!’.
Speaking about Ananya Panday’s Call Me Bae, it stars an ensemble cast consisting of Varun Sood, Mini Mathur, Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Vihaan Samat, Lisa Mishra, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt and others.
Just a couple of days before the series’ premiere, the makers had held a special screening of Call Me Bae in Mumbai. The said screening was nothing less than a star studded one, which was attended by the likes of Karan Johar, Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, Sara Ali Khan, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Vedang Raina and other prominent celebs.
While Call Me Bae has been backed by none other than Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment, those who have seen it, just cannot stop raving about it. Watch this space for further updates and developments.
