Director Nag Ashwin proposes a Bujji vs Cybertruck face-off.
Filmmaker Nag Ashwin is immensely proud of the high-tech car that he has built for his upcoming movie, Kalki 2898 AD. So much so that he has extended an invitation to billionaire Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla, to take a look at the creation called Bujji.
In a tweet, Nag Ashwin invited Elon to take Bujji, which he described as a 6-ton beast, for a test drive, suggesting that the car would give serious competition to Elon’s world-famous Cybertruck.
"Dear @elonmusk sir... We would love to invite you to see and drive our #Bujji... it's a 6-ton beast, fully #madeinindia, fully electric, & an engineering feat. And I daresay it'll make for a great photo-op with your Cybertruck (would be a sight to see them drive together)," he tweeted.
With the film's release date drawing closer, the filmmakers have planned several promotional events around Bujji. Recently, the filmmakers let a few celebrities test drive the supercar and share their experiences. "This was nothing like I’ve ever imagined... hats off to the entire team for translating this vision into reality... truly an engineering marvel. Had a great time chilling with Bujji," tweeted Naga Chaitanya.
India's first Formula One Driver, Narain Karthikeyan, also drove the car and expressed a sense of marvel over Nag’s ability to conceptualize a car like Bujji.
The filmmakers are also taking the car to cities across the country as part of the promotional strategy.
