Allu Sirish in Buddy
The trailer for Telugu actor Allu Sirish's upcoming movie Buddy was unveiled on Tuesday. Judging from the trailer, it seems that Sirish has pinned his hopes on this movie to give him a much-needed break in his career.
At one point in the trailer, the line between Sirish's character and his real-life challenges vanishes. The villain asks Sirish, "How many times do you keep coming back?" The implication is, why haven't you given up already?
Sirish is the younger brother of Telugu superstar Allu Arjun, who has achieved remarkable success. Arjun is dubbed a "pan-India" star after his blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise created box office history in the Hindi heartlands, creating ripples across the Indian film industry.
Sirish's career has yet to fully take off, but he seems determined to keep doing what he does until he succeeds. That's what Sirish's answer to the villain suggests: "Until I win."
Sirish looks sharp in Buddy, which revolves around a teddy bear that comes to life for some miraculous reasons. The trailer begins by giving a grand introduction to the teddy bear, which has gained a notorious reputation for fighting against injustice in society. It seems that Teddy does not abide by any law that argues against killing humans. It seems bloodthirsty and ruthless. The voice of the teddy is androgynous but sounds like a pre-teen. It's in some trouble and needs extra support to bring wrongdoers to justice. Enter Captain Adityaram, who pilots passenger flights for a living. He joins forces with Teddy in taking on a criminal syndicate. While we don't know the actual plot, it's safe to assume that it has something to do with crimes committed in the medical field.
Written and directed by Sam Anton, Buddy also stars Ajmal Amir, Prisha Rajesh Singh, Mukeshkumar, and Mohammed Ali. The film is due in cinemas on July 26.
