Brahmastra advance booking: Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt starrer off to positive start, more than 10,000 tickets sold

After Karan Johar’s Liger debacle, hopes are pinned on his upcoming production venture Brahmastra . Starring Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in the lead, the movie boast of India’s first VFX-heavy spectacle made on the budget of over Rs 400 crore. As the movie is nearing its release on September 9, the makers have opened the advance booking window and witnessing a positive trend.

The advance booking of Brahmastra, which started a week ahead of its release, has sold more than 10,000 tickets so far. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film opened on an optimistic note hoping for some relief for the film industry. 11,558 tickets have been sold at selected locations while on Friday, 63 percent of the total ticket sold followed by 25 percent on Saturday. The trade expert said that advance bookings have to have stronghold till Thursday. And the mass circuits and spot bookings after the release will play an extremely crucial role to decide the opening day numbers.

Going by the present trend of bookings, it is expected that Brahmastra may record the highest advance booking numbers just like KGF: The Chapter 2. Well, the makers are nervous and silently confident about their product hoping that it will cover its making cost. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film is about the world of Astras which revolves around a young man who discovers e has the power to control fire. The film also has legendary Amitabh Bachcha, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan will be making a guest appearance in the movie.

Well, recently the team of Brahmastra organized a pre-release mega event in Hyderabad to create much-needed hype around the movie. Also, present at the event as a special guest was RRR star Jr NTR. Meanwhile, the upcoming film is a three-part franchise, the first talks about Shiva. The second and third parts will be planned after the success of the first film.
