    The year was 1997 when the filmmaker J P Dutta released a multi starrer film titled Border, which starred the likes of Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Akshaye Khanna, Puneet Issar, Sudesh Berry, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and many others. Buoyed with the super success of the film, J P Dutta went on to announce the film’s sequel Border 2 just recently.

    Ever since the time the film Border 2 had been announced, there has been immense curiosity and expectations about the film not just amongst the cinegoers, but also within the film circles. Being in tune with the times, J P Dutta went on to sign the new age superstars Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh in the film Border 2, while Sunny Deol continues to be the leading man.

    In a recent interaction with Mid Day, JP Dutta expressed his opinion about the new age actors joining the cult film’s sequel. JP Dutta said that with Sunny Deol, it had always been a dream run, and now with new blood Varun and Diljit, who will be seen playing the celebrated heroes from the Armed Forces, it will be great.

    It's being rumoured that, besides Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh, the film maker will be springing yet another surprise in the form of a mega star who has been signed for the film and that the name of the said actor will be revealed in the coming days.

    As for Border, it was directed by JP Dutta, while Border 2 will be seeing a new director in the form of Anurag Singh, who had earlier directed films like Kesari and others. Speaking about Anurag, JP Dutta told the aforementioned publication that he really liked Anurag’s work in the Akshay Kumar starrer Kesari and that he was someone who understood the emotion that is India.
