Border 2- Has Diljit Dosanjh come on board the Sunny Deol starrer?

Who can ever forget the bunch of lions in the form of Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, Akshaye Khanna, Jackie Shroff, Puneet Issar, Sudesh Berry and others who had roared their way to box office success in the J P Dutta directed Border. The impact of the film’s success was so huge that it resonates even today. Be it the film’s gripping storyline or the powerful dialogues of the near-flawless performances from the actors… the film had it all!

There were many fans (read ‘die-hard fans’) of the cult film who were wanting a sequel of the film, the film’s makers. As an answer to their prayers, the film’s makers finally announced the film’s sequel a few weeks ago, with the evergreen actor Sunny Deol spearheading the film. The latest update on the film is that, its makers have now got on board the multi-talented Diljit Dosanjh, to play an all-important role in the film.

As per a report in Peeping Moon, it has been said that the film’s makers (J P Dutta) have now signed Diljit Dosanjh to play one of top leads in the film. The said report states that, all the details pertaining to the character that is going to be played by Diljit Dosanjh have been, so far, kept under the wraps. The same article mentioned that, on his part, Diljit Dosanjh is extremely ecstatic about being a part of the film that has the Indian Army and patriotism as its mainstay.

The same report also stated that, there is yet another versatile actor Ayushmann Khurrana who has been approached to be a part of the film. The film’s makers are now waiting for his response regarding his willingness to accept the offer or not. There have been other names as well, which have been doing the rounds as far as the film’s casting is concerned. These names include Suniel Shetty’s son Arhaan Shetty and also Ammy Virk.

As for the film Border 2, it will not be directed by the veteran filmmaker J P Dutta (who had directed Border). Instead, it will be directed by Anurag Singh, who had earlier directed Akshay Kumar’s Kesari.
