Border 2: Ahan Shetty joins Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh in JP Dutta’s war film! Deets inside

After the humongous success of the multi starrer war film Border, the film’s director J P Dutta went ahead to announce the film’s sequel and had titled it as Border 2. Thanks to the spectacular performance of Border at the box office, the fans of the film and the cinegoers were super excited to see the film’s sequel.

Today, the makers of Border 2 have dropped the lovely and lively announcement video of the film, which happens to be the fourth in the said series. The announcement video starts off with flashes of the by-now-cult film Border. Acting as an icing in the cake is the super melodious background vocals of the film, which has, by now, become an anthem of sorts.

The video then reads, ‘For Duty, For Honour, For Country’, that is laced by a gripping voice over those states, ‘Jise paar nahi kar paata dushman, who na toh koi lakeer hai, naa deewaar naa ghaai, aur kya hai ye border. Bas ek fauji aur uske bhai”.

All of this to announce the addition of Ahaan Shetty, who happens to be the son of Suniel Shetty, who had featured in the first part of the war film Border. The video then ends with the super haunting voice of Sonu Nigam and his rendition of the track ‘Sandeysey aate hain…’

In no time of this video announcement, there were many netizens who took to the comments section and simply poured in their hearts out. While one user wrote ‘OMG! This is the best news that I have ever heard in the day today. Hats off to J P Dutta that in its first part, he had taken Suniel Shetty and in the film’s second part, he has given a chance to his son Ahaan Shetty to shine. We are very sure that, Ahaan will give his best in the film and will become a superstar like his father’.

Another user wrote, ‘It cannot get bigger than this one. While it was Suniel Shetty in the first part, and this is a fitting tribute to the father whose son will be seen in the second part of the film. Ahaan has to perform as this is a life changing and career defining opportunity for the young actor. We all are sure that this film Border 2 will catapult Ahaan Shetty into the league of super classic actors, like his father Suniel Shetty’.

As for the film Border 2, besides Ahaan Shetty, it also stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh in the leading roles. The film has been directed by Anurag Singh and is slated for a grand release on January 23, 2026.
