    Producer Boney Kapoor is soon be making his acting debut with Luv Ranjan’s upcoming comedy-drama Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar . The 67-year-old has long awaited to see himself on the big screen. As finally, the film’s release day is approaching, the producer expressed his excitement with too much confidence. He called himself an expensive actor that no producer can afford at a recent media interaction.

    On Sunday, Boney attended the Zee Cine Awards event where he opened up about his upcoming acting venture. While interacting with the media, he revealed that he would not star in his own produced films. “Kyunki main bahot mehenga actor hu, meri price as a producer afford nahi kar sakta”. He also had a witty answer when asked about his acting debut in Tu Khoothi Main Makkaar. “Ye main 8 tarik ke baad baat karunga. Next award function me jab mujhe nominate kiya jayega tab baad katunga.”

    Earlier in an interview with a news portal, Boney revealed that he was reluctant to do the movie. But it was his children–Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Anshula, Khushi, and also his brother Sanjay Kapoor who pushed him into it. Another factor that convinced him was getting to work with a unit that has great actors and also getting to play Dimple Kapadia's husband.

    For the unversed, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is the upcoming film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles. The film revolves around their love-hate relationship which gets further complicated when their family gets involved. Besides Boney Kapoor, the film also has Dimple Kapadia and Anubhav Singh Bassi in supporting roles. It is also reported that Kartik Aaryan will be making a special appearance in the movie. Backed by Luv Ranjan in collaboration with Bhushan Kumar’s T-series, the film is slated to hit theatres on March 8.
