    Bobby Deol may have marked the beginning of his journey on Bollywood with the movie Barsaat in 1995 but love he got for his film Gupt starring Kajol and Manisha Koirala was unprecedented. The thriller which released in 1997 completes 25 years since release and the cast and makers celebrated the milestone in a big way with screening of the film.

    Bobby Deol and Kajol reunited with several members of the cast on the occasion including filmmaker Rajiv Rai, actors Harish Patel, Tej Sapru, Mukesh Rishi among several others. Several pictures and videos from the event have flooded social media as fans took a trip down memory lane re-living the cult classic that is Gupt and Kajol and Bobby Deol were certainly in a cheery mood making fans go gaga over their bond. 

    However, as pictures and videos have made their way online, fans of Gupt couldn't help but notice the absence of Manisha Koirala and wondered why she couldn't be a part of the celebrations. The actress played Sheetal in the movie who Bobby Deol's Sahil eventually ends up with.

    At the special screening with a press event, Gupt cast revisited several moments from the film with Bobby also dancing to Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela in the middle of the screening at INOX. Kajol and Bobby also posed with twin daggers at the red carpet.

    In Gupt, Kajol's character became the highlight of the plot who plays Isha, an obsessive love of Sahil who goes on a killing spree when she's not allowed to be with him. Sahil is framed for the murders and sentenced to jail but he escapes to find the real culprit. In a shocking twist it is revealed to be Kajol's Isha.

    The storytelling and plot progression of the film was highly appreciated alongside the performances. The music of the film was also a big success. At the box office, the movie collected close to Rs. 19 crores in its lifetime and is still recognised as one of the best Bollywood films from the 90s.
