Bipasha Basu's parents were apprehensive of Karan Singh Grover because of his failed marriages, here's how she convinced them

Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover have been married for 6 years. The much-in-love couple would soon be making an appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show on Valentine's weekend. The promos are proof of how the love between the two is just the same. Now, in a recent interview, the actress revealed that her parents were initially apprehensive of making KSG their 'damaad', but she convinced them.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Bipasha revealed that her parents were not very approving of Bipasha marrying Karan at the beginning, because of the latter's failed marriages. But Bipasha was able to convince them, by giving them an example of her own failed relationships. She revealed, “Failed marriage is not the sign that the human being has to be wrong. So, it’s not that they should be condemned. Like for me, I explained to my parents that the kind of relationship that I had was longer and it’s much bigger than his marriage. It’s just that I did not sign a piece of paper. So how does it make me different from him”.

She further added, “Relationships don’t work out, it’s unfortunate but in the longer run when you look back you are always happier. It’s always said that things happen in your life for a reason and it’s always true.”

Bipasha was in a relationship with her Raaz co-star Dino More and are npw good friends. She then dated John Abraham for almost a decade, but the two parted ways and are not on talking terms. Karan Singh Grover was married to Shraddha Nigam and to Jennifer Winget.
