She goes by the name of Shivani Kumari, a 'raw and untouched by modernism' kind of lady, who rose to dizzying heights through the medium of her heart touching and relatable videos on YouTube. Not the one to be an English speaking motormouth, Shivani Kumari definitely seems like a breath of fresh air when one hears her 'shuddh desi Hindi'. What remains to be seen is that, Shivani Kumari (whose biggest forte is her command over the Hindi language), will win hearts and attention of the audiences along with the much-coveted Bigg Boss OTT 3’s trophy!

Desimartini met up with the super confident Shivani Kumari for an exclusive interview. Here are the excerpts:

Shivani, what was your first reaction when you got the offer to participate in Bigg Boss OTT 3?
I just cannot express myself in words the feeling that I had when I got the call from the makers of the Bigg Boss OTT 3 show. I was jumping and dancing all over the house with joy filled in my heart. I simply picked up my sister's son and was roaming around in my house as my heart was filled and overwhelmed with joy and happiness.

Did you at any point think that the phone call from the makers of Bigg Boss OTT 3 could be a prank as well?
Yes, I did feel that way at some point in time. But, when my manager (who handles my social media account) told me that it was for real, I just could not hold on to my excitement. He then confirmed that I was indeed being called by the show makers of Bigg Boss OTT 3 and that I had to go for an audition for the same. As I said, I just could not believe my eyes and ears. After that, I went on to give my audition and eventually, I got selected. Even at that time, I was not able to believe that I was going to participate in THE Bigg Boss reality show.

After being selected in the audition, did you get into a 'day-dreaming' mode?
(In a state of shock and surprise) … Aiiyyaa… ye aapko kaise pata chala? (Oh Goodness! How on earth did you get to know this!)

    What was your audition like?
They had asked me about my family, my likes, my dislikes and my hobbies. I replied with utmost confidence.

Is this your first visit to Mumbai?
Nahiiii… this is my second visit. Earlier too, I had come to Mumbai, but on a personal trip.

How has been your YouTube journey?
Initially, the journey for me was not at all a bed of roses. There were many in my village who used to call me and tease me by saying ‘nachaniyaa’ and that I will set a bad example to everyone else. I took that as a challenge and told myself that, even though I am a girl, I am not at all any less than a man!

What are the memories that you are carrying with you in the Bigg Boss OTT 3 house?
The very first step for me in the Bigg Boss OTT 3 house is privy to the fact that there are many in my village who are confident that I will exit the house as a winner. Although winning or losing is not in my hands, I am carrying the confidence, the hopes and the will to win with me.

There are many who will try to trigger you when you are inside the Bigg Boss OTT 3 house. How will you tackle that?
To tell you the fact, I do not get angry at all! (smiles).

What kind of preparations have you done in order to win the show?
I do not want to prepare and go to the Bigg Boss OTT 3 house. I just want to be myself and show my real self before the world.

What is it that you want to tell all the other aspirants of the Bigg Boss show?
All that I want to say is that, if I win (the show), that will only mean the millions like me have won! It will be a liberation of sorts for many of the women folks out there, who can proudly say, ‘If Shivani can do it, so can I’!
