Bigg Boss 18: In this Salman Khan hosted show, I dream of having Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor as my fellow contestants, REVEALS Avinash Mishra
He is young, charming and is loaded with oodles of talent. Being soft spoken seems to be in his DNA. Even though he does not sound politically correct, but, when he talks, he rarely tends to make any mistake. That’s Avinash Mishra for you, who is now all set to explore the world of the Salman Khan hosted Bigg Boss 18.
In an exclusive interview with DesiMartini, Avinash Mishra spoke about many things under the sun, including his dream co-contestants and whether he is entering inside the house with a specific plan in mind… Over to you, Avinash…
If you were given an opportunity to introduce yourself to the viewers, how will you do that? I mean, what is it that you want to introduce yourself as?
Hi guys! This is Avinash Mishra. You are going to have a lot of entertainment, a lot of good moments, funny moments, and emotional moments. You're going to see a lot of entertainment inside the Big Boss house. So be ready and enjoy the journey.
And what was your first reaction when you were offered the show?
I have been offered Big Boss for the last three- four years! But I couldn't do it because I was doing a show. When the show’s makers called me this time, I was just about to do a show. but, since I am a strong believer of destiny, I feel that this time I was meant to do the Bigg Boss show. That’s why I chose Bigg Boss this year.
Please continue…
Also, the fact that I have never done any reality shows, as I had always done fiction shows. That’s why, I felt that I should come out of my comfort zone. And, since I had done a lot of fiction shows, I prepared myself to do non-fiction.
And a show like Bigg Boss is like getting an opportunity to participate in the biggest reality show of India. That’s why I thought why not give it a try! I thought it's a great opportunity, and I'm glad I'm doing it!
If you were given a choice to pick three people as your co-contestants on the show, who would you choose and why?
What a lovely question! In that case, I will be picking up those people whom I want to see how they will react in real life! The first will be the one and only Shah Rukh Khan. I really want to know as to how he is extremely professional towards everything, and always dedicated towards his work, and he is unstoppable. I'm sure, if he's with me inside the house, I will get to learn a lot of things from him for sure.
The second contestant will be Akshay Kumar, because, it was because of him my entire life and outlook towards life changed. Just like him, I too am a fitness freak! And when I see Akshay sir being extremely fit and still following his routine and schedule and at this phase of his career, it will be an extreme ocean of knowledge for me to get from him.
The third person will be Ranbir Kapoor. There is something about that person I love. And, when he says the dialogues on screen, it just doesn't feel like he's saying the dialogues. He's always seen simply flawlessly flowing in that scene. He is extremely calm, extremely composed, and he can be like a very normal person, yeah, very attractive.
When you are inside the house, and while doing a task, you have to backstab the person who trusted you the most in the house. In that case, will you choose your friendship with that person or backstabbing that person in order to win the task!
For me, the very term ‘friendship’… I feel it's a very natural and very organic process and emotion. You can't plan to make friends inside the house, or you can't make a strategy. That happens very naturally, and the vibe has to match.
The friendship can be seen in a very authentic way. Otherwise, if you try to pretend your friendship, if you're being fake in that friendship, that will be caught in a second. Also, with a lot of cameras around the contestants, one just can't fake friendship.
Secondly and most importantly, if that person is a true friend of mine, he/ she will understand that I did so, to win the task. That, to me, is a sign of healthy friendship.
You are someone who comes across as a cool and calm minded person. Once you are inside the house, and if anybody triggers you, will we see you lose your cool, or will you just smile it off?
This actually depends on what situation we both are in. When someone’s days are good, that person will not get triggered. But when a person’s days are bad, he/ she will get triggered even for a pinch of salt! That’s why I believe in taking each day as it comes.
Is there any kind of homework have you done before entering the show?
The only homework that I have done is that, I have done no homework. I firmly believe that, if a person makes a plan or strategies or even has a pre mindset before going inside the house, he/ she will not be able to apply any of the plans or strategies. If anyone make any plans, their plans are bound to be destroyed by Big Boss! (laughs heartily)/
Is there any lucky charm or talisman that you're carrying along with you for good luck?
I am planning to be extremely honest and dedicated towards whatever I'm doing inside the house. And, that has always helped me in my life. And, I am sure that it will help me inside the Bigg Boss house as well!
We all know and have seen that your parents mean the world to you. So how have you prepared yourself and also them to be away from each other for three months?
My parents are super excited about me going into the Bigg Boss house as they are huge fans of the show! They have already got me a list of ‘to-do; things for my journey inside the house, they are a very loyal Bigg Boss audience.
Ae have seen the formation of many couples inside the Bigg Boss house. Are you open to falling in love?
I believe in one thing. If something has to happen, it will happen, come what may! And when, if something happens very naturally and very organically, you can't have control on these. And it can happen at any moment, correct? So, if that happens, you won't be able to control it. Emotions will come out. Even the strongest person in the world can't handle the emotion of love. (smiles)
