Veteran singer Bhupinder Singh ’s demise has been yet another loss for the music fraternity. He passed away at the age of 82 at Mumbai’s Criti Care Hospital on Monday (July 18). The fans of the actor soon started sharing their tribute to him and remembered his unique reverberating style of singing.

Bhupinder Singh reportedly passed away due to COVID-19 complications and suspected colon cancer. The singer is credited for crooning melodious hits like ‘Ek Akela Iss Sheher Main’, ‘Huzoor Iss Kadar’, ‘Naam Ghoom Jayega’, ‘ Dil Dhoondta Hai’, ‘Thodi Si Zameen Thoda Aasman’, and many more. His wife Mitali Singh had confirmed the news of his passing and according to a news report on NDTV, she had also stated that he was admitted to the hospital following a urine infection after which he also tested positive for COVID-19.
Bhupinder Singh’s wife was quoted to reveal to PTI, “He was admitted to the hospital eight to ten days ago as he had some infection in the urine. After tests were performed, he tested positive for COVID-19. He passed away at around 7.45 pm due to suspected colon cancer and had COVID-19.” The late singer is credited to work with some of the legendary names in the music industry like Lata Mangeshkar , RD Burman , Mohammad Rafi, Asha Bhosle, Bappi Lahiri , and others.
