Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 Vs Dhaakad box office: Kartik Aaryan starrer inches towards Rs 100 crore club, Kangana Ranaut's film continues to struggle

Both Kartik Aaryan ’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Kangana Ranaut ’s Dhaakad were released on May 20 but we have a clear winner and a loser at the box office. While Kartik’s horror-comedy flick is enjoying an astounding success at the box office, Kangana’s female-led actioner is witnessing a poor performance. The same results continue to show on the 6th day of the release.

Talking about Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, according to early reports, Kartik Aaryan’s movie has garnered Rs 84.21 to Rs 85.21 at the box office on the sixth day. As a result, the film will quickly enter the Rs 100 crore club by the coming week. The horror-comedy flick saw one of the biggest openers for Kartik and also received fairly positive reviews from the masses and critics alike. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh called the movie, one of the biggest openers of the year along with The Kashmir Files and Gangubai Kathiawadi. His tweet read, “Day 5 [Tuesday] Biz: TOP 3 SCORERS IN 2022... 1. #TheKashmirFiles: 18 cr 2. #GangubaiKathiawadi: 10.01 cr [#MahaShivratri holiday] 3. #BhoolBhulaiyaa2: 9.56 cr #Hindi films. Nett BOC. #India biz (sic)." The film also stars Kiara Advani , Tabu , Rajpal Yadav , and Sanjay Mishra in the lead roles and is helmed by Anees Bazmee .

On the other hand, despite Kangana Ranaut’s performance being praised in the female-led action flick Dhaakad, the movie is continuing to witness a poor performance at the box office. Kangana’s movie earned Rs 0.20 crore on its sixth day and now the total collection comes to Rs 4 crore. This meager collection after the 6 days of its release is not favorable news for the movie, considering its budget of Rs 85 crore. The movie is being labeled as one of the biggest disasters of all time. Directed by Razneesh Ghai, it also stars Divya Dutta and Arjun Rampal in the lead roles.
