Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 box office: Kartik Aaryan's film becomes second highest Monday grosser behind The Kashmir Files

Kartik Aaryan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, after an excellent weekend, registered a double-digit Monday to its name continuing it phenomenal run at the box office. The Anees Bazmee directed horror comedy is being hailed for having broken Bollywood’s jinx after a string of flops and after four days has surpassed the collections of several films led by Bollywood’s biggest stars.

On its first crucial Monday, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has earned Rs. 10.75 crores according to Box Office India. Based on these numbers, the movie has so far collected over Rs. 66 crores in four days since its release and is looking forward to close its first week at the box office at over Rs. 90 crores.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 now holds the record of the second highest Monday collections in Bollywood behind Vivek Agnihotri ’s blockbuster The Kashmir Files which raked in over Rs. 15 crores on its first Monday.

While Kartik’s film takes the number 2 spot, Alia Bhatt led Gangubai Kathiawadi hold the number 3 spot in the list of highest Monday collections with Rs. 8.19 crores.

Day 1 [Friday] – Rs. 14.11 crores

Day 2 [Saturday] – Rs. 18.34 crores

Day 3 [Sunday] – Rs. 23.51 crores

Day 4 [Monday] – Rs. 10.75 crores

Total – Rs. 66.71 crores

The horror comedy is officially Kartik Aaryan’s biggest crowd puller and the actor is certainly getting all the appreciation from Bollywood for it. Despite comparisons with Akshay Kumar ’s 2008 original, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 has managed to stand its ground and that’s rare in the case of sequels.

The movie also stars Kiara Advani , Tabu and Rajpal Yadav in key roles.
