Nicole Kidman, a Hollywood A-lister known for her impeccable taste in roles, apparently extends that good taste to baked goods as well. Who knew that one of the early judges of her culinary preferences would be Paul Hollywood of 'The Great British Bake Off' fame?

Muffin Mania: Hollywood's Brush with Hollywood

In a recent chat with Rolling Stone, Paul Hollywood, renowned chef and beloved judge on 'The Great British Bake Off,' made an endearing revelation about his baking history. Back in the early '90s, Hollywood was whipping up blueberry and pumpkin muffins for none other than then-power couple Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise.

Hollywood recollected, "I used to do blueberry and pumpkin muffins at the Dorchester, and there was a request put in for extra muffins. I thought, 'This is weird. I made enough.'" Much to his surprise, the order had come from "the Cruise party," he was told.

A Bake-Off Before the 'Bake Off'

Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise, married from 1990 to 2001, were apparently fans of Hollywood's muffins during their time in Ireland, filming for the 1992 movie "Far and Away". Despite initially thinking the hefty muffin request to be "weird," Hollywood was happy to report that his extra muffin baking "went over well."

From muffin maestro for A-list celebs to a popular TV judge, Hollywood has come a long way. Presently, he's judging Season 6 of 'The Great American Baking Show' on the Roku Channel.
