Bad Newz box office collection: Day 1

According to reports, Bad Newz earned around ₹8.50 crore in India on the first day and had an overall 22.83% Hindi occupancy on Friday. Helmed by Anand Tiwari, Bad Newz is co-produced by Anand, Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Amritpal Singh Bindra.

The film’s success is attributed to positive word of mouth and strong marketing. With no major competition, the film is expected to earn more than Rs 30 crore on the weekend.

Anand Tiwari’s Bad Newz is a sequel film to Karan Johar’s Good Newz, which starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani.

Bad Newz tells the tale of Saloni Gaba, played by Triptii Dimri, who encounters a rare phenomenon where she gets impregnated by two men, played by Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk. This leads to a challenge between the two men to prove their worth in Saloni’s eyes and win over her heart.
