Baba Siddique murder: Security tightened outside Salman Khan's residence in Bandra

Yesterday evening, everyone got a shock of their lives when they got to know about the assassination of NCP leader Baba Siddique. Ever since the incident took place, there have been many celebs who were seen visiting his residence to pay their last respects and offer condolences.

The latest update is that, the security has now been tightened outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's residence in Bandra, Galaxy Apartments, to be precise. One may recall that; the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique took place within a span of mere six months of the members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang firing gun shots outside his residence.

The police personnel are presently investigating if the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was behind the killing of Baba Siddique. This is on the grounds of the late Baba Siddique’s close relations with Salman Khan. As per a report in Hindustan Times, the late Baba Siddique had received death threats 15 days before his murder, which, immediately prompted him to get a Y category security upgrade.

In a statement to the media, the Mumbai Police personnel said, ‘On 12/10/2024, between 21:15 and 21:30 hours, while Mr. Baba Siddique was leaving his office and heading toward his residence in Bandra (West), Mumbai, three individuals opened gunfire targeting Mr. Baba Siddique. Mr. Baba Siddique was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, Bandra (West) for treatment but was declared dead by the doctors’.

Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh took to social media and expressed his feelings about the sudden death of Baba Siddique. He posted, ‘Extremely saddened and shocked beyond words to learn about the tragic demise of Shri #BabaSiddique ji - My heart goes out to @zeeshan_iyc and the entire family- May god give them strength to brave this difficult time. The perpetrators of this horrific crime must be brought to justice’.
