Baazigar actor Dalip Tahil sentenced to 2-month jail in drunk driving case
As per reports, the actor had attempted to flee at the time of the accident but got stuck due to a traffic jam caused by Ganesh Visarjan processions.

Back in 2018, veteran actor Dalip Tahil was involved in an accident where his car rammed into an auto-rickshaw. The accident that took place in Khar left a woman injured. In the latest development, the actor has been sentenced to 2 months in jail in the drunk driving case.
According to reports, the actor was found drunk when the accident took place. The magistrate court relied on the doctor’s evidence that confirmed the actor was drunk. His dilated pupils, smell of alcohol and incoherent speech were some of the evidence. As per reports, the actor attempted to flee at the time of the accident but got stuck due to a traffic jam caused by Ganesh Visarjan processions.
Dalip was taken into custody after the police were summoned. A photo of the actor waiting at the police station was also been shared online. Reportedly, the actor had refused to give his blood samples to the police for an alcohol test at the time of the accident. Meanwhile, he has not issued any statement regarding his sentencing yet.
For the unversed, Dalip has worked in more than 100 films over more than three decades of his acting career. He made his debut with the 1974 film Ankur. He went on to play character roles of a villain or the supporting role of a father and police in films. He is well known for his villainous role of Madan Chopra, a wicked businessman in the 1993 film Baazigar.
The 65-year-old has worked in several hit films including Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag among others. Not only in films, the actor has also featured in a number of TV shows like Buniyad, Saturday Suspense, Siya Ke Ram and Nuclear Secrets to name a few. He has also appeared in web series including The Family Man, Hostages and Guilty. He was last seen in Made In Heaven. He has lately become popular on social media for his humourous videos.
