Ever since the time, the teaser of Ajay Devgn, Tabu starrer Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha was released, the cinegoers were very eager to see the film. As if the curiosity created by the film’s teaser was not enough, the film’s makers today simply upped the level of curiosity with the film’s trailer, which really has the audiences glued on to their seats and emotions.
The film’s trailer starts off with a much-in-love couple (younger version of Ajay Devgn and Tabu’s characters) sitting across a sea. The girl, in a very lovely but lowly voice asks the guy whether anyone will separate them. To which, the lover boy, in a super confident tone tells that, he had checked on the same and found out that, no one was born yet to separate them. And even if they do, he will set the whole world on fire”.
This is followed by an intense looking Ajay Devgn’s character walking across a jail, when he gets told that “There is a murder in today’s menu!”. The audiences are then treated to Krishna’s (Ajay Devgn) past wherein it gets told that he had been jailed because he had committed two murders and that he had also pleaded not to shorten his jail term. When posed with the question, Ajay Devgn, in his trademark tone, replies that, he was not ready (to face) the outside world.
Cut to the present day, when Ajay Devgn reaches his home, only to find Tabu getting out of her car with her eyes eagerly searching for him. In a solitude time, Tabu asks him whether he remembered her ever (during his tenure in jail). Just as when he was about to reply, there enters a super-rich looking and ultra-confident Jimmy Shergill character, who shakes hands with Ajay Devgn, as if he was waiting to see him for years.
An eager Jimmy Shergill then asks Ajay Devgn as to what exactly had happened on that fateful night, and that too at a time when he had everything going for him. To which, Ajay Devgn replies ‘It’s a problem of the mind. Its acts first and then, thinks’. The trailer then, oscillates between his past and his present.
This is then, followed by the film’s USP where Ajay Devgn mouths the by-now-epic line, “Jab dil se dua utha, barsaat ka Mausam tha… jo dard ka marham tha. Sau dard diye hain usne, ji dard ka marham tha. Humn ne hi sitam dhaaein, humne hi keher tode, dusman the humi apne, auron mein kahan dum tha!”
The film Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha is all set to be released on July 5. Besides Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Jimmy Shergill, the film also stars Shantanu Maheshwari and Saiee Manjrekar. While the film has been produced by Narendra Hirawat, Kumar Mangat Pathak (Panorama Studios), Sangeeta Ahir and Shital Bhatia, it has been directed by Neeraj Pandey.
