Athiya Shetty jokes about her wedding rumours with KL Rahul: 'Hope I am invited '

The speculations about the wedding of Athiya Shetty with boyfriend and cricketer KL Rahul have been making way to headlines for quite some time now. Most recently, the rumour mill predicted that the couple will be tying the knot in the next three months. Much to their disappointment, Athiya has finally broken her silence on her wedding rumours.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Athiya addressed the reports about her much-awaited wedding with the cricketer in a rather hilarious way. She poked fun at the rumour mill and wrote, “I hope I’m invited to the wedding that’s taking place in 3 months. Lol.” Her post has certainly left fans disheartened as they were eagerly waiting to see them hitched for life.

Recently, Athiya and Rahul went to Munich for the latter’s surgery. That is when the marriage rumours got fueled claiming that their respective families have started preparing for the big day in full swing. It was speculated that Athiya will oversee every detail of her wedding that was expected to take place in Mumbai. Well, after Athiya rubbished the rumours, we are just left to wait and watch for the official wedding announcement.

Earlier, Athiya’s dad Suniel Shetty and brother Ahan Shetty also denied such development. While Suniel said that nothing has yet been planned about their wedding, Ahan explained that when there is no wedding, how can there be any date. For the unversed, Athiya and Rahul made their relationship official in 2021. Rahul took to Instagram to share a loved-up post for her lady love. He had written, “ Happy birthday my ❤️” alongside a romantic picture of themselves together. The couple shares a close bond with each other’s family and even visits them occasionally.
