Superstar Shah Rukh Khan ’s son Aryan Khan was arrested last year in October in an alleged drug case and had to spend almost a month in prison. However, in May last month, the star kid got a clean chit in the said case after the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB)’s charge sheet did not find him as one of the accused. Now, a senior official of the NCB has revealed what were Aryan’s exact words after he was arrested by the agency.
Sanjay Singh, NCB Deputy Director (Operations) was heading the Special Investigations Team (SIT) and had closely interacted with Aryan Khan and the other co-accused in the case. Speaking to India Today, Singh said that Aryan had questioned him as to why he was being treated like an international drug trafficker despite not being in possession of any drugs. The agency officer recalled the star kid’s words to be, “Sir, you have painted me as an international drug trafficker, that I finance drug trafficking--aren’t these charges absurd? They did not find any drugs on my person that day and yet they arrested me.”
Furthermore, Sanjay Singh said that Aryan Khan asked him whether he was deserving to stay in prison for such a long time. The officer remembered Aryan saying, “Sir, you have done me great wrong and ruined my reputation. Why did I have to spend so many weeks in jail--did I really deserve it?” as the star kid had to almost spend the entire October last year in jail after his bail pleas were getting rejected one after the other. Meanwhile, in the latest development on the case, NCB gave the clean chit to Aryan Khan due to the lack of evidence against him.

Aryan Khan’s lawyer Mukul Rohatgi had also stated that he is happy that the NCB has accepted their mistake. Speaking to NDTV about the same, the lawyer said, “I'm relieved, and so must my clients be, including Shah Rukh Khan. The truth has prevailed. Ultimately, there was no material to charge this young man (Aryan Khan) or arrest him. He was not found with any drugs and I had clearly indicated to the court that the arrest was completely meaningless."\
