Arjun Rampal on Shah Rukh Khan: ‘His foresight is incredible and...’

Arjun Rampal is a successful model-turned-actor who has starred in films like Dil Hai Tumhara, Dil Ka Rishta, Om Shanti Om, and Ra.One, among others. The actor worked with Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om and Ra.One. Speaking about Shah Rukh in a recent interview with Ranveer Allahbadia, Arjun said that the Bollywood superstar has made tremendous sacrifices.

During the interview, when Arjun was asked if he has ever had mid-life or quarter-life crisis conversations with Shah Rukh, the actor said that SRK has a lot of depth as a person. He said, “He has seen a lot in life too. He’s made a tremendous amount of sacrifices. He’s brilliant at the kind of things where he can foresee things. His foresight is incredible and he’s extremely hard working.”

Arjun added that what people can take from Shah Rukh is a little bit of everything, good and bad. For example, how he conducts himself. The actor added that if you can create several good habits and if they outweigh your bad habits, then you grow in a particular way.

The actor revealed that SRK is great at making habits a part of his personality and that inevitably, they become who he is, which leads to growth.

Arjun added that he encourages people to have good habits and to make good habits an innate quality of themselves so that they become a part of them.

When Arjun Rampal met Shah Rukh Khan for the first time

Speaking about meeting Shah Rukh for the first time, Arjun revealed that his former wife, model Mehr Jesia, was good friends with Shah Rukh’s wife, Gauri Khan, which led to their eventual meeting. He said that the two bumped into each other once or twice at events and shared formal greetings.

Arjun and Shah Rukh collaborated on-screen for Farah Khan’s blockbuster film Om Shanti Om, where Arjun played the antagonist Mahesh. Shah Rukh played Om, who is reincarnated to avenge his lover’s death.

Speaking about Om Shanti Om, Arjun said that people were not trying to pull him down because he played a negative character. But if he had played the hero’s role, then people would have probably tried to pull him down. “The moment you do a positive role and you hit it out of the park and you’re the hero, then that’s a different equation," he said.
