Further, when asked if he has made any plan to get there, he replied that when he streamlines the first aspect of his life which is delivering good films, then it would be the time to divert his attention to production and direction.
Being the son of film producer Boney Kapoor, actor Arjun Kapoor has got a fair understanding of various aspects of production and filmmaking. However, the actor was always passionate about being in front of the camera but that doesn’t rule out the opportunity for him to be a producer sometime in his career. In a recent interview, the Ishaqzaade actor shared that he currently wants to focus on his acting craft as he owes big to his audience. But yes, production is on his mind.
While speaking to Etimes, Arjun admitted that he is a producer at heart. “Most actors are director’s actors, but I am also a producer’s actor, and that gives me an edge and adds value for people who work with me. I am somebody who wants to produce and direct. I want to have a 360-degree perspective on filmmaking, including shows and limited series. But it will happen with time, there is no reason to be in a hurry right now. I have to focus on my craft first. It’s great to multitask, but at the end of the day, I think I owe it to my ticket-buying audience to work hard and stay focussed.”
Further, when asked if he has made any plan to get there, he replied that when he streamlines the first aspect of his life which is delivering good films, then it would be the time to divert his attention to production and direction. About his digital debut, the Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar actor added that he does want to jump to the bandwagon without having clarity about what he is looking for.
Meanwhile, Arjun was last seen in Mohit Suri’s Ek Villain Returns alongside John Abraham, Disha Patani, and Tara Sutaria. He will next feature in Vishal Bharadwaj’s Kuttey and Ajay Bahl’s The Lady Killer .
