Ever since the shocking news about the divorce of music maestro A R Rahman with his wife Saira Banu became public, almost everyone has been talking about them. Amidst all this, there was another equally shocking news about Mohini Dey, the bassist of A R Rahman taking to social media and announcing her divorce from her husband.
Needless to say, since both the divorce announcements were co-incidentally at around the same time, there were many who did not take time to ‘join the dots’! Today, AR Rahman’s son AR Ameen took to social media and posted a long post, in which he defended his father and called him a ‘legend’.
On his part, AR Rahman’s son AR Ameen took to social media and posted, ‘My father is a legend, not just for his incredible contributions, but for the values, respect, and love he has earned over the years. It’s disheartening to see false and baseless rumors being spread’.
He added, ‘Let us all remember the importance of truth and respect when speaking about someone’s life and legacy. Please refrain from engaging in or spreading such misinformation. Let’s honor and preserve his dignity and the incredible impact he has had on all of us. #EPI’.
As a reply to the same, there was the well-known actress and playback singer Bhavani Sre, who replied to AR Ameen’s post about his father. On her part, Bhavani Sre posted, ‘A R Rahman is not just a legendary artist but also a person of integrity and immense contribution to the world of music and art. It is disheartening to see baseless rumours being spread about him.
She added, ‘I firmly stand by him and the values that he represents. His work has inspired millions, and his character has always been a testament to humanity and respect. I urge everyone to stop spreading such baseless allegations.
She concluded her post stating, ‘Truth will always prevail. And Rahman Sir’s unwavering spirit will continue to shine’.
