    AR Rahman sang his popular song Tere Bina with singer Jonita Gandhi at Anant Ambani’s wedding reception

    Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant tied the knot on July 12 at Jio World Convention Centre. After hosting a star-studded wedding ceremony and a shubh ashirwad event, the Ambani family hosted a Mangal Utsav where singer AR Rahman performed.

    Singer AR Rahman held a private concert at the wedding reception of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant on July 14. In a video shared from the reception, the singer is seen singing his popular song Tere Bina from the film Guru picturised on Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan. The female parts of the song were sung by singer Jonita Gandhi on stage. 

    In the video Rahman is wearing a shimmery black outfit, a black and yellow jacket, paired with black pants and black sunglasses while Jonita opted for a colourful lehenga, teamed with minimal makeup and a sleek bun. 

    For those unaware, Rahman is an Academy Award winning singer, producer and music composer. Jonita on the other hand is a Canadian singer of Indian descent popular for singing Hindi songs. 

    Other musical performances at the Ambani wedding

    The Ambani family has been making headlines since they hosted a three-day pre-wedding event in Jamnagar attended by Bollywood celebrities such as Alia Bhatt, Shah Rukh Khan, Ananya Panday and others. International singer Rihanna marked her first performance in India after she held a private concert for the audience in Jamnagar. Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh also held a concert at the pre-wedding. 

    The Ambani family later hosted a cruise trip in Europe where Katy Perry, Andrea Bocelli, Backstreet Boys and Pitbull held concerts for the guests.  

    The Ambani family kick-started the wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant with a sangeet ceremony hosted at NMACC, Mumbai. The mood was set right at the ceremony by a private concert held by international singer Justin Bieber who performed in India for the second time after his infamous 2017 concert in Mumbai. Justin is reported to have been paid 83 crore rupees for his performance.
