Anushka Sharma will soon be seen in the sports biographical drama, Chakda Xpress which is a biopic on cricketer Jhulan Goswami. In a recent media interaction, the actress spoke about shooting the movie after giving birth to her daughter Vamika, last year in January. Anushka confessed that she was in a nervous state of mind due to the same.
Speaking to Harper’s Bazaar about the same, Anushka Sharma said, “I was a part of the inception of Chakda ’Xpress. I was supposed to have worked on it earlier but the film got postponed because of the pandemic and then I got pregnant. When I finally began working on it, I was really nervous because I had just had a baby so I wasn’t as strong as before. And I hadn’t trained for 18 months, so I wasn’t in the best physical condition—earlier, I would have really pushed myself to do different exercises in the gym."
However, Anushka Sharma added that she was sure that she wanted to be associated with Chakda Xpress because of its subject. The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actress said that she looks forward to being part of the subjects that are content-forward and interesting. Anushka said, “But even though I wasn’t sure whether to take the project on or not, an inner voice kept telling me to do it. And that’s the kind of work I want to be a part of. I’ll always be open to doing projects that are interesting and content-forward.”
Anushka Sharma furthermore addressed her quitting as a producer from the production house, Clean Slate Filmz which she had established with her brother Karnesh Ssharma. The Jab Harry Met Sejal actress revealed that she does not believe in the hustle culture and wishes to strike a balance between her work and personal life. She concluded, “I’m for living with a more holistic approach—you enjoy your work, you enjoy your life. That’s what you’re supposed to do."
