    The much-awaited Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal piqued the audience’s interest ever since he dropped the trailer. Not only did Ranbir Kapoor’s never-seen-before avatar, but Bobby Deol’s eccentric characterisation has kept fans on their toes for the release. As the film finally arrived in theatres today(December 1, 2023), the hype around Ranbir’s performance remained intact but short screen time for Bobby left fans disappointed.

    Animal revolves around a troubled father-son relationship, set in the backdrop of extreme bloodshed in the underworld. While Ranbir plays an aggressive son who can go beyond any limits to protect his father essayed by Anil Kapoor in the film, while Bobby features as an antagonist. As per reports, Bobby has merely 10-15 minutes of screen time in the film. He is not even in the first half of the film. Despite that, Twitterati have hailed his performance as ‘superlative’.

    Earlier, Bobby’s elder brother, actor Sunny Deol gave a shout-out to his performance on social media. Taking to Instagram, the Gadar 2 actor wrote, "My Little brother has shaken the world All Guns Firing success to #Animal !" He also shared a string of images with Bobby wherein he looked teary-eyed.     Meanwhile, Animal also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, Shakti Kapoor and Prem Chopra in pivotal roles. Backed by T-series, Cine 1 Studios, and Bhadrakali Pictures, the film has been released in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam.
