Anees Bazmee opens up about making Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4: ‘Bohot badi zimmedari hogi...’

Kartik Aaryan is all set to grace this year’s Diwali by returning as ‘Rooh Baba’ in Anees Bazmee’s upcoming horror-comedy film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The film is the third part of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise and brings back actress Vidya Balan from the first part to play the role of Manjulika. Bhool Bhulaiyaa is one of the most loved franchises in the country and director Anees Bazmee recently spoke about the next part of the series, that is Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4, in an interview.

During a conversation with Pinkvilla, director Anees Bazmee was asked about making Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4. The filmmaker replied that it is a big responsibility to make Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4 because the film is bound to be compared with the first three parts.

He said, "Bohot badi zimmedari hogi Part 4, chahe koi bhi banaye, but it will be a huge, huge responsibility to make, kyunki uska direct comparison hoga 1st se, 2nd se, aur 3rd se, toh woh aasan kisi ke liye bhi nahi hoga, mere liye bhi (It will be a huge responsibility no matter who makes it. It will be a huge responsibility because the film will be compared to part one, two and three, hence it won’t be easy for anyone, even for me).”

Will Akshay Kumar return to Bhool Bhulaiyaa universe?

In the same interview, Anees spoke about the possibility of actor Akshay Kumar returning to the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise in part four. He said that having Akshay would be excellent especially because Kartik admires the senior actor. The director added that he would be overjoyed if such a possibility materialises and stated that he would try to create something where Akshay could be part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa again.

For those unaware, Akshay Kumar played the role of a psychiatrist named Aditya in the first part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa.

Helmed by Anees Bazmee, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 stars Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri, Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit. Backed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Murad Khetani, the film will hit the theatres on November 1. It will clash with Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again at the box office.
