Anees Bazmee CONFIRMS Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 to be released as scheduled; says 'Some media personnel are misinterpreting my...'

This Diwali, it’s not going to be firecrackers everywhere, but also in Bollywood on the silver screen. For the unversed, this Diwali, there are two big films which are vying to hit the bull’s eye. These two films are in the form of Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.

Since the last few days, there has been a constant buzz about the films being postponed in order to avoid clashing with each other. The fact also remains that, even though there has been strong buzz, there has been no official announcement or confirmation from either of the two filmmakers regarding their respective films being postponed.

Today, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’s director Anees Bazmee took to social media and clarified that his film is very much on track and will be released as per schedule. On his part, Anees posted, ‘Some media personnel are misinterpreting my statement. As a filmmaker with over 3 decades of experience, I focus on crafting compelling stories, not getting entangled in film release/business dynamics’.

He added, ‘I've seen many films succeed despite releasing on the same day. Seems like my words were lost in translation! Let me rephrase: I'm thrilled for BOTH #Singham3 & #Bhool Bhulaiya3! Two amazing films, two talented teams. Let's do it together’.

Meanwhile, on behalf of Singham Again, a couple of weeks earlier, there was an official media statement which was issued by the film’s media representatives which stated, ‘Dear Media Friends, Recently, there have been numerous false and fabricated narratives and stories about Singham Again. The film is progressing as scheduled, including its shooting, post-production and gearing up for the Diwali release. We kindly request the media to reach out to us to authenticate any news, stories, or speculations before publishing. See you at the cinemas this Diwali’.

All of these only mean that, both the films (Singham Again and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3) will be released during the festive season of Diwali as per the schedule. As for Singham Again, it stars Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar in the leading roles.

Besides them, the film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Jackie Shroff, Shweta Tiwari, Ashutosh Rana, Siddhartha Jadhav, Dayanand Shetty and Arjun Kapoor, who will be seen in a negative career for the first time in his career. While the film has been directed by Rohit Shetty, it is being produced by Rohit Shetty, Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande.

On the other hand, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 stars Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri in the leading roles. While the film has been directed by Anees Bazmee, it is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Murad Khetani.

The official release date of both the films, however, is yet to be announced. Watch this space for further updates and developments.
