When the interviewer asked Ananya if she had burnt photographs of her ex-boyfriend, the actress replied that she had done it in the past. She added that it is a nice way to release one’s frustrations. She added, "I don’t do that now, but I have done it. It’s not like I’m the only person on earth who has done this. A lot of people have. It’s a nice way to release your frustration." Later, she acknowledged her similarities with Kareena Kapoor Khan’s character Geet from Jab We Met who burned her ex’s pictures in the movie.

For those unaware, Ananya Panday was romantically linked with actor Aditya Roy Kapur since 2023 after the couple was spotted enjoying time together in foreign locations. Earlier this year, it was reported that the couple had parted ways, though neither of them have confirmed or denied the relationship.

Helmed by Vikramaditya Motwane, CTRL starring Ananya and Vihaan Samat is produced by Saffron and Andolan Films. The film will make its world premiere on Netflix on October 4.

The film revolves around the couple, Nella Awasthi (Ananya Panday) and Joe Mascarenhas (Vihaan Samat). What happens when the couple split and how Nella accidentally removes Joe from the face of the earth forms the plotline of the film. CTRL revolves around the themes of modern relationships, social media, the horrors of AI, and much more.
