Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan reshared a tweet about his son Abhishek Bachchan’s role in Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film KING

Abhishek Bachchan is all set to play an antagonist in Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film KING that also stars SRK’s daughter and actress Suhana Khan. Sending best wishes to his son Abishek, legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan took to his social media and wrote, “It is TIME.”

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Amitabh shared a tweet that appreciated Abishek’s performances in his projects such as Breathe: Into the Shadows and Raavan. Resharing the tweet, Amitabh wrote, “all the best Abhishek .. It is TIME !!!”
The original tweet said, “Those Who have seen Abhishek Sir's in Breathe into the Shadows, Raavan and BB, Will know what level of Performance as a negative role he can give. Never ever doubt him. @juniorbachchan Abhishek Sir and Sujoy Ghosh.”
Abhishek to play antagonist in KING?
Recently, PeepingMoon revealed that Abhishek Bachchan has been cast in the role of an antagonist in Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film KING. The two have worked in films such as Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and Happy New Year in the past.
The film is expected to go on floors later this year and will hit the theatres in 2025. The excitement for KING has been increasing ever since a video of Shah Rukh showed the film’s script lying near him. Helmed by Pathaan director Siddharth Anand, the film will have music scored by Anirudh Ravichander.
Earlier, Shah Rukh and Suhana were seen spending time in New York, making fans wonder if the duo was working on their upcoming film KING. Neither the actors nor the makers have released any official statement regarding this.
Abhishek Bachchan’s upcoming film
Abhishek, on the other hand, has Tarun Mansukhani’s Housefull 5 in the pipeline alongside Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Sanjay Dutt.
Suhana made her acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies which premiered on Netflix. KING will mark her theatrical debut alongside her father. Shah Rukh Khan featured in three blockbuster films in 2023 - Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki. These films marked Shah Rukh’s comeback after a hiatus of four years.
