Sivakarthikeyan and team talk about Amaran

Leading man Sivakarthikeyan shared that the team received massive support from army personnel and officials, who extended their help in various ways to bring the film to life. Recalling one such incident, he revealed, “The people in Kashmir, where we were shooting, were so welcoming and treated us as one of their own. It was as if they wanted to provide all the help possible because we were telling the story of one of them. During a night shoot at the Cheetah Company, which is a very sensitive location, they provided us with three layers of protection around the shooting site. It gave me a sense of being in a real army operation field."

Colonel Saravana Vinod, who guided the team in the making of the war biopic about the late Major Mukund Varadarajan, revealed that Amaran will be the most authentic army-based film in Tamil cinema to date. He said, "In the history of Tamil cinema, there hasn’t been a movie like Amaran that has preserved the core story so faithfully. I am sure that most soldiers who are serving will connect with it, and the film will also inspire youngsters who wish to join the army."

According to director Rajkumar Periasamy, Colonel Saravana, from the Madras Regiment, coordinated with the Ministry of Defence and the filmmakers to seek permissions and assist in the making of the film. He acted as the representative of the film to higher officials and took the team to locations where Major Mukund had served and worked during his time in the army.
