'Sivakarthikeyan was the perfect choice for Amaran because...'

During a recent promotional interview, director Rajkumar Periasamy revealed the reason behind casting Sivakarthikeyan. He stated that he chose Sivakarthikeyan because he "represents the common man." The director explained that, although any actor could have taken on the role of Major Mukund Varadarajan, the martyred soldier was an everyday individual who accomplished remarkable feats. For this reason, he sought someone who not only had star power but also resonated with the audience as a relatable person.
