Amar Kaushik reveals the new title of Ayushmann Khurrana’s film; shares important update on Varun Dhawan's Bhediya 2

If there is one person who can rightly be called as the man of the moment, then, it has to be none other than filmmaker Amar Kaushik. The reason? Well… his film Stree 2, besides creating new records while shattering the old ones, is on its way to enter the super prestigious Rs. 500 crore club anytime soon.

With the super success of Stree 2, it's totally needless to say that all the eyes are now trained on Amar Kaushik and his next film which stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna. Well, as good news to all the fans and followers of the ‘hit filmmaker’, Amar Kaushik has now given the much-wanted update about the aforementioned film.

And the update is that the Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna starrer, which was titled as Vampires of Vijay Nagar now gets a new title. In an interview with India Today the celebrated filmmaker Amar Kaushik has revealed that the film’s new title will be Thamba. The details surrounding the film’s title were not revealed by him. When asked about the film, he said that they would start the shooting in the next two months.

Besides the film Thamba, which is supposed to be a story based on a vampire, director Amar Kaushik is also busy with Bhediya 2, which (again) stars the original star Varun Dhawan.

When asked about Bhediya 2, Amar Kaushik said that the script was not locked yet, but they have written the story, and that they needed to develop the screenplay. In the same breath, he also added that he was not satisfied with a few parts of the story and that the team was presently busy working on that.

Even though Varun Dhawan being the leading man in Bhediya 2 has been confirmed, the leading lady of the film is yet to be announced. In other words, whether the film’s makers will continue with Kriti Sanon to be paired opposite Varun Dhawan (as in the original film Bhediya) is yet to be decided.
