Yash Raj Films is all set for another film in the YRF spy universe. The makers of Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh's Alpha shared the first promo for the film on social media, evoking a sense of mystery around the upcoming film.

    Alpha promo unveiled

The promo begins with a voiceover of Alia, which says, “Greek alphabet ka sabse pehla akshar aur hamare programme ka motto, sabse pehle, sabse tez, sabse veer, dhyan se dekho toh har shahar mein ek jungle hain, aur jungle mein hamesha raj karega ALPHA (The first alphabet of Greek and the motto of our programme, most courageous and the fastest; if you look at it closely, then every jungle has one, and in every jungle Alpha will rule).”

    Netizen react to Alpha promo

The caption for the promo on Instagram reads, “It’s the time of the ALPHA.. Girls!” Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh's fans instantly took to the comment section to express their excitement for the upcoming film. One user wrote, "Omg damn excited to see this," while another wrote, "Alreadyyy so exciteddd!!!!!". One commente read, "Damnn now thats how you do an announcement."

The Alpha promo ends by revealing that the cast and crew have begun shooting for the film, which is expected to be released in theatres in 2025. Alpha is directed by Shiv Rawail, who made his directorial debut with the 2023 Netflix series The Railway Men.

Speaking about the film, a source close to YRF said, “This is a clear take by YRF to highlight a societal misinterpretation that only men can be Alphas.” YRF kicked off its spy universe with Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger. This was followed by Tiger Zinda Hai. The producers later backed Tiger Shroff and Hrithik Roshan's War and Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's Pathaan.

YRF has War 2 and Tiger vs Pathaan in the pipeline, along with Alpha.

While Alia Bhatt has carved a niche for herself by starring in films like Gangubai Kathiawadi, Highway and Raazi, Sharvari recently received national acclaim after featuring in the horror comedy film Munjya.
