Allu Arjun, Jr NTR back Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya after Konda Surekha's 'derogatory comments' on their divorce; call it 'disrespectful'

Jr NTR, who is currently enjoying the massive success of his recently released film, Devara, hit back at Telangana minister Konda Surekha after she stated that Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader KT Rama Rao is responsible for Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya’s divorce. The actor took to social media and expressed disappointment over her statement. In his post, he went on to mention that ‘dragging personal lives into politics is a new low.’ Apart from him, actor Allu Arjun also condemned Konda Surekha's nasty comments.

Jr NTR hits back at Konda Surekha

After alleging a link between KT Rama Rao, Samantha, and Naga’s divorce, Minister Konda Surekha received a lot of backlash for her baseless comments. The pan-India actor Jr NTR took to his X (formerly known as Twitter) handle and wrote that public figures like Konda Surekha should maintain dignity and respect for privacy. He wrote, “Konda Surekha garu, dragging personal lives into politics is a new low. Public figures, especially those in responsible positions like you, must maintain dignity and respect for privacy. It’s disheartening to see baseless statements thrown around carelessly, especially about the film industry. We will not sit quietly while others make baseless allegations against us. We should rise above this and maintain respect for each other’s boundaries. Let’s ensure our society does not normalize such reckless behavior in democratic India. #FilmIndustryWillNotTolerate."

Allu Arjun reacts to Konda Surekha’s comments

Allu Arjun, on the other hand, wrote that he strongly condemns the baseless derogatory comments made about film personalities and film families. His statement read, "I strongly condemn the baseless derogatory comments made about film personalities and film families. This behaviour is deeply disrespectful and goes against the values of our Telugu culture. Such irresponsible actions should not be accepted as normal. I urge the parties involved to act more responsibly and respect individual privacy, especially towards women. We must promote respect and dignity in social as a whole."

Reacting to this statement, Samantha said that Konda should refrain from her personal matters and asked to keep her name out of political conspiracies. “My divorce is a personal matter, and I request that you refrain from speculating about it. Our choice to keep things private doesn't invite misrepresentation. To clarify: my divorce was mutual consent and amicable, with no political conspiracy involved. Could you please keep my name out of political battles? I have always remained non-political and wish to continue doing so,” she said on Wednesday.

Naga too reacted on social media and called the claims “ridiculous”.

Konda Surekha reacted to the statement by saying that her intention was not to hurt Samantha or her followers. Konda added that she admires how Samatha exponentially by herself. She added, “If you or your fans have been hurt by my words, I unconditionally retract them. Please do not take it otherwise.”

KT Rama Rao, on the other hand, has sent a legal notice to Konda on charges of defamation saying that she meant to tarnish his image.
