Speculations have been flying fast and thick about the growing unease between director Sukumar and Telugu superstar Allu Arjun. Reports have claimed that the rift between the actor and director may lead to further delays in the release of the highly-anticipated Pushpa 2: The Rule.

Producer Bunny Vasu, who is also a close confidant of Allu Arjun, rubbished the rumours as "silly and laughable." He noted that the claims about an internal fight between Sukumar and Allu Arjun were baseless, and assured fans that the production of Pushpa 2 is going on as planned.

"If you see, Bunny (nickname for Allu Arjun) has only 15-17 days of shooting pending. He just needs to shoot for the climax and a song. Fahadh Faasil has a lot of pending work to complete as he cancelled shoots a few times owing to his busy schedule," said Bunny Vasu.

The rumours about trouble in the Pushpa 2 production gained momentum after fans spotted Allu Arjun with a trimmed beard when he took off with his family for a vacation. Many were convinced that Allu Arjun changed his Pushpa Raj look to express his dissent and unhappiness over the way Sukumar was handling the project.

Reports have it that Allu Arjun was upset with the cancellation of shoots a few times.

"Sukumar is now focused on editing, which will take 30-35 more days. In the meantime, when Bunny went on a vacation with his family, he made the calculations and trimmed the beard so it would grow back to the length required during this break. Allu Arjun and Sukumar have a special bond. Even if Sukumar shoots Pushpa 2 for six more months, Allu Arjun will go along with it. Because they both know the product value of Pushpa," he added.

Pushpa 2 has been in production for a while now. The film was expected to arrive in cinemas on August 15. However, it was pushed to December 6, citing production reasons.
