‘Aliens are coming to earth to watch Brahmastra’, Kamaal R Khan decodes the success of Alia & Ranbir’s film

Earlier this month actor, filmmaker and critic Kamaal R Khan was arrested by the Mumbai Police twice-- for his controversial tweets made in the past and for a molestation case. He returned home after 10 long days in jail and netizens eagerly waited for him to review Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra . While KRK did not review the film, he did share a tweet about it which read: “I didn’t review film #Brahmastra still people didn’t go to theatres to watch it. So it has become a disaster. Hope @karanjohar won’t blame me for the failure like many other Bollywood people.”

Starring Alia Bhatt along with husband Ranbir Kapoor in the lead, the film entered the 200 crore club 10 days after it arrived in theatres, even though it fell prey to the boycott trend on social media before release. Well, KRK took to his official handle today to decode the exceptional business done by Brahmastra. He tweeted: “Theatres are empty but still Film #Brahmastra is doing bumper business. Because Aliens from Jupiter and Mars are coming to earth to watch this film. And Unfortunately people can’t see aliens sitting in the theatres.”

The film, its dialogues and the star cast are being constantly trolled on social media. But Brahmastra has still done wonders at the box office! In fact, it has beaten Kartik Aaryan’s blockbuster hit Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 to become the second highest-grossing Hindi film of 2022 after Vivek Agnihotri’s critically acclaimed The Kashmir Files. Ayan and his stars Alia and Ranbir will now reunite for the second and third installment of their planned trilogy. If buzz is to be believed, Deepika Padukone will headline Brahmastra 2.
