Alia Bhatt wears Ramayana-inspired saree, Ranbir Kapoor expresses regret over Raha's absence at Ram Mandir's inaugration
Ranbir Kapoor, along with his wife Alia Bhatt attended the inaugration of Ram Temple in Ayodhya in the traditional attires.
Bollywood’s most loved couple Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt recently graced their presence at the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya. The couple turned in traditional attire for the spiritual ceremony which saw more than 7000 VIPs in attendance. For the occasion, Alia wore a teal-coloured saree that featured the entire Ramayan depicted on it through motifs of Hanuman, Ram Setu and Lord Ram. She styled her saree with a a blue shawl and carried a potli bag of the same colour. She wore a pair of statement earrings and kept her hair in a sleek braided low bun with centre partition to complete her look.
Ranbir and Alia were seen sitting with other celebrities including Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Ayushmann Khurrana, Madhuri Dixit, and Rohit Shetty at the event. Several videos and pictures of them are doing rounds on the internet. In one of the videos, the couple was seen in queue for the darshan of Ram Lalla inside the temple, after the Pran Pratishtha. They were surrounded by other guests and Ranbir protected Alia by holding her from behind as they made their way inside the newly-constructed temple.
At the event, Ranbir also expressed his regret over his daughter Raha Kapoor’s absence at the historic event. “It's a big pride. I feel extremely lucky and blessed to be here. I just wish I could have brought my daughter Raha here to experience this historic moment. It just feels great. Jai Shri Ram,” Ranbir told Times Now. Meanwhile, the Ram Mandir’s inauguration was a star-studded affair as the dignitaries from politics, sports, and cinema across the nation were in attendance.
Meanwhile, workwise, Ranbir was last seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri. He will next be seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana alongside Sai Pallavi and Yash. On the other hand, Alia will be seen in Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala and jointly produced by Eternal Sunshine Productions and Dharma Productions.
