Alia Bhatt trolled for 'copying Deepika Padukone' as she attends Karan Johar hosted bash in a Rs. 3 lakh red mini dress and jacket

Actor Alia Bhatt , who is riding high on the success of Gangubai Kathiawadi, graced Dharma Production CEO Apoorva Mehta’s birthday on Friday. She arrived wearing a red mini floral dress that complimented her perfect figure. However, the actor was called out by netizens for copying actor Deepika Padukone ’s style.

The Gangubai Kathiawadi actor teamed her dress by Magda Butrym with a matching blazer and kept her tresses wavy. As per the website of Magda Butrym, the dress is priced at Rs 1,41,072 (USD 1,855) while the jacket is priced at Rs 1,52,479 (USD 2,005). The complete ensemble is worth Rs 2,93,551.

Interestingly, Deepika also opted for Magda Butrym mini dresses at the time of her movie Gehraiyaan's promotions. Trolling Alia on her video shared by paparazzo Viral Bhayani, a user wrote, “Why she always tries to copy Deepika?" Another user commented, “wanna be Deepika Padukone." while another wrote, “Deepika is all over her style.”.

Similarly, actor Ananya Panday was also trolled for her see-through dress which she wore for Apoorva’s birthday party. Her bold choice of wearing a sheer dress, however, led to incessant trolling online. The netizens criticized the actress on a video shared by the paparazzi, one user wrote, “RIP fashion sense." “Sorry to say but Ananya’s outfit seems like a fashion disaster." another user wrote. One of them also claimed that Ananya is trying hard to copy Hollywood, it said, ‘Blindly trying to follow Hollywood's.”

Meanwhile, this is not the first time Bollywood actresses have to face the brunt of fashion policing on social media. Nonetheless, they have been vowing with their gorgeous outfits and confidence with which they carry them.
