Bollywood star Alia Bhatt is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Jigra with Vedang Raina. The actress has also locked the dates to shoot Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War opposite actor husband Ranbir Kapoor and actor Vicky Kaushal in 2025. According to the latest reports, Alia is keen on featuring in a love story after shooting for Love And War and has scheduled dates for shooting the film in 2026.

Alia Bhatt to feature in an out-and-out love story

According to reports, Alia is keen on locking her dates for a romantic story after shooting for Love And War. The source revealed that she has already identified a script and is all set to produce and act int the film. The film will go on floors in the last quarter of 2025 or 2026 after shooting for Lov And War at the beginning of next year. “Alia has identified a script for her next after Love And War, and she is looking to produce and act in the film. It’s an out and out love story, and Alia’s heart at the moment is on the aforementioned script,” the source revealed.

The source stated that Alia has locked her dates for 2026 and several meetings have been held. "The film is still a year away from going on floors, and hence, there is also a chance for Alia to change her mind if something better comes up,” the source said. But for now, the love story is locked as Alia’s next for 2026, as per the report.

Neither Alia nor the makers have officially confirmed the news. The source added that the makers are keen on casting a successful Bollywood actor for the film. “The entire casting begins once the paperwork is done and the stakeholders are committed to take the film on floors by 2025 end,” the source concluded.

Jigra to release soon

Alia is busy promoting the release of her upcoming film Jigra, opposite The Archies actor Vedang Raina. Helmed by Vasan Bala, the film will hit the theatres on October 11.
