After days of evading the media, newlyweds Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have finally blessed us with their firt pictures as bride and groom.
The long awaited wedding of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt finally took place today at the actor’s home Vaastu in Bandra. The newlyweds were joined by their closest family and friends at the venue where in a traditional Punjabi wedding Alia officially became Mrs. Kapoor.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt Kapoor’s first pictures as a couple are out after several days of the two actors avoiding media attention. The pictures are everything you would have hoped them to be and the couple looks perfect together.
Dressed in their wedding ensembles designed by celebrity designer Sabyasachi, the newlywed Kapoors’ were a sight for sore eyes. Fans have gone lengths to get this first glimpse with some even starting online petitions to be a part of their big day.
Alia wrote, "Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home … in our favourite spot - the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship - we got married. Both Ranbir and Alia have played groom and bride in several films respectively but the dreamy pictures have made all the waiting worth our while. We have waited for over two years to see this couple get married as the first wedding rumours about the couple arrived before the pandemic.
The couple’s wedding ceremony began at Vaastu at close to 2 PM and was attended by Karan Johar , Ayan Mukherji, Luv Ranjan, Adar Jain, Kareena Kapoor , Karisma Kapoor , Randhir Kapoor , Pooja Bhatt, Rahul Bhatt, Rima Jain, Shweta Bachchan , Tashu Jain, Anisha Malhotra, and several others apart from their immediate families including Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor, Mahesh Bhatt , Shaheen Kapoor and Soni Razdan.
The wedding was preceded by a few other ceremonies including a pitr puja and ring exchange on Wednesday morning, a mehendi ceremony on Wednesday afternoon, and a haldi ceremony on Thursday morning.
