Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor to tie the knot in the second week of April? Here's why we are convinced the wedding is indeed happening

Ranbir Kapoor may have made it clear that whenever he gets married to actress Alia Bhatt , he doesn’t want to announce his plans to the media. However, rumours surrounding the couple’s April wedding refuse to die down.

The latest development on impending nuptials of Alia and Ranbir is that the couple plans to tie the knot at the ancestral Kapoor family home and will have nearly 450 guests in attendance. According to a Pinkvilla report, it was Ranbir’s idea to ditch a swanky hotel and tie the knot at the the family's Chembur home.

The same report also mentions that the couple plans to get married sooner than later and a date in the second week of April has been settled up by the Kapoor and Bhatt families. It has been said that while Ranbir’s family was keen on selecting a date towards the end of April, Alia’s family insisted on an earlier date keeping in mind the health of the actress’ maternal grandfather, Narendra Nath Razdan.

While no one from the Kapoor family, right from Randhir Kapoor to Neetu Kapoor have not let any details of the wedding slip, rumours of the couple’s April wedding have been doing the rounds since the last few weeks of 2021.

A wedding at the ancestral Kapoor house would be special for more reasons than one for the couple. The most interesting being that it was also the venue for Ranbir’s parents Neetu and Rishi Kapoor ’s wedding.

Ranbir who is nowhere on social media recently interacted with the media for the promotions of his film Sharmaji Namkeen . The actor was on several occasion asked to clarify these wedding rumours and to NDTV the actor had said, “I am not bitten by a rabid dog that I would announce the date to the media, but I can tell you that. Alia and I are both planning to marry. I’m hoping it happens soon.”

What is interesting is that both Alia and Ranbir have surprisingly clear work schedules at the moment. While Alia has wrapped up RRR promotions recently, with Sharmaji Namkeen Ranbir’s obligations towards the project also seem complete. The two actors also wrapped up Brahmastra shoot in Varanasi in the nick of time last month.

According to a few reports, Ranbir is also due to resume shoot for Luv Ranjan’s next in the last week of April which he will juggle with the shoot on Sandeep Reddy Vanga ’s Animal .
