Alia Bhatt has the perfect 'SaturYay' as she watches Gangubai Kathiawadi with her cat Edward

Alia Bhatt ’s film Gangubai Kathiawadi which was released in February into the theatres and proved to be a box office success has been hailed as one of her best works in her glorious filmography. It looks like Alia spent her Saturday, watching the movie along with her pet cat Edward for company. The movie has been helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and marked the director’s first collaboration with the actress.

Talking about the same, Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram stories to share a lovely post that has her watching Gangubai Kathiawadi along with her cat Edward. The Student Of The Year actress captioned the post stating, “SaturYay with Gangu and Ed” along with a moon and a white heart emoji. Take a look at the post.

By the looks of it, Alia Bhatt can be seen watching the last scene of Gangubai Kathiawadi. The scene had all the residents of Kamathipura hail Gangubai as their hero after she returns post meeting the then Prime Minister Of India, Jawaharlal Nehru requesting him for working towards the upliftment of the people of Kamathipura. The scene also has the popular dialogue from the movie, ‘Gangu Heroine Banne Aayi Thi, Puri Ki Puri Cinema Ban Gayi’ (Gangu had come to become a heroine but she became a full cinema instead).

The movie also starred Vijay Raaz, Seema Pahwa, and Shantanu Maheshwari in the lead roles. The movie furthermore had a brief cameo role by Ajay Devgn . Gangubai Kathiawadi was premiered at the 72ndInternational Berlin Film Festival.

Meanwhile, it was earlier reported that Alia Bhatt will soon head off to the UK to start shooting for her Hollywood flick Heart Of Stone opposite Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan . The film will be released on the OTT streaming platform, Netflix . Alia has also been shooting for the Karan Johar directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani opposite Ranveer Singh .
