'Alia Bhatt gets more recognition on Koffee With Karan than Brahmastra' : Netizens react after Varun Dhawan praises the actress on the show

Well, if there is one thing for which the current season of Koffee With Karan 7 is grabbing several eyeballs apart from the various discussions around the professional and personal lives of actors, it is definitely Alia Bhatt . Netizens have been calling out the show for rather the wrong reasons for Karan Johar mentioning the actress numerous times even after her non-appearance in the same after the very first episode. The recent episode which featured Varun Dhawan and Anil Kapoor was no different.

Talking about the same, when Karan Johar quips Varun Dhawan on which of his contemporary from his current generation comes across as the toughest competition for him, he is quick to blurt out Alia Bhatt’s name. Varun says, “The only person I feel evenly closely competitive with is Alia Bhatt. As a society, we also need to start accepting that our female leads can also be bigger than heroes.” Karan also chimes into this and says how the Raazi actress has been delivering big box office hits more than her male counterparts.

However, seems like the Twitterati weren’t amused with the same and started taking potshots at Karan Johar and the contestants of this season for mentioning Alia Bhatt time and again. I mean how come? #KritiSanon #IshanKhattar #KaranJohar is so obsessed with her! Promoting her at every chance he gets.” A netizen further added, “# Brahmastra is like watching #KoffeeWithKaran7 .. alia bhatt and cringy dialogues are shoved down our throats every time something exciting is about to happen.”

This season of Koffee With Karan 7 has been receiving a lot of flak for this reason. Netizens have time and again called out Karan Johar for mentioning Alia Bhatt in every episode of the show. The fans of the show have specifically accused KJo of allegedly trying to overhype the actress in the industry.
