Akshay Kumar shares BIG update on Hera Pheri 3, co-starring Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty, and we can't keep calm

There are very few films in Bollywood, which start off as films, but eventually go on to become classic… read that as ‘cult classic’. The Priyadarshan directed Hera Pheri is one such film. How can anyone forget the trio of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal in the film. What started off as characters in the film today have become nothing less than icons of Bollywood.

Seeing the superlative response of the film, the film’s makers went on to make the second part of the film and had titled it the same as Hera Pheri 2, which was titled as Phir Hera Pheri. This film again, starred the unbeatable trio of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal doing their respective (iconic) roles.

There have been many times when the fans of the cult film Hera Pheri had expressed their burning desire to see the next instalment of the same. It seems that God had answered all the prayers through the medium of Akshay Kumar at the recently held Hindustan Times Leadership Summit.

When asked about the status of Hera Pheri 3, considering that there were many who were eagerly waiting to see the trio (back) in action, Akshay Kumar said, “We are just making Welcome at the moment, and as soon as producer’s ki hera pheri khatam ho jaye, woh phir hera pheri shuru kar denge! Just joking. I think by next year, we’ll start it.”

Ever since the news about the confirmation of Hera Pheri 3 has happened, there is huge happiness amongst the netizens, which was visible in the form of their comments. One user wrote, ‘OMG! At last, the news that many of us were waiting to hear was finally heard and not just heard, but also relished. At last, we will all get to see the trio of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal back in action with Hera Pheri 3’.

Another user wrote, ‘Kaash ye pehle bol dete, I would not have shifted abroad. I was working as a chef in India and had seen both the parts of Hera Pheri. But, since there was no news about Hera Pheri 3’, I shifted abroad at the first given opportunity. But, one promise from me, that, whenever the film Hera Pheri 3 is released, I will be back in India to see it's first day first show!’

As for the film Hera Pheri, the roles which were played by Akshay Kumar was Raju, Suniel Shetty was Ghanshyam aka Shyam and the most iconic role of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte aka Babu Bhaiya as played by the veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Besides him, there was also the legendary Kulbhushan Kharbanda who played the role of Devi Prasad and another veteran actor Gulshan Grover, who was seen in the role of Kabira.
