Akshay Kumar helped Sunny Deol clear his debt of Rs 40 crore? Khiladi’s team reveals the truth

Earlier today, shocking speculation started doing the rounds that superstar Akshay Kumar will be helping Sunny Deol clear a humongous debt of around Rs 30 to 40 crore. According to a news report by Bollywood Hungama, Akshay had offered his help to Sunny after the latter’s property Sunny Villa was supposed to be re-auctioned for non-payment of dues. Now, Akshay’s team has broken their silence on the same.

Akshay Kumar’s spokesperson has commented on the news and has called it totally false. The Bhool Bhulaiyaa actor’s team member was quoted to reveal, “The report is absolutely untrue". Well, seems like the news of Akshay coming to Sunny Deol’s rescue was just a mere rumor. Talking about the Ghayal actor’s financial crisis, a news report from the same publication stated the Bank Of Baroda had put Sunny’s bungalow on auction after he defaulted Rs 55.99 crore in December last year. However, the latest reports suggest that the auction notice has been withdrawn by the bank.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar and Sunny Deol’s ambitious releases OMG 2 and Gadar 2 locked horns at the box office after releasing on August 11, 2023. Sunny’s patriotic flick has clearly emerged as the winner creating a thunderstorm at the box office. The total collection of the film now stands at Rs 375.10 crore. The movie is fast eyeing the Rs 400 crore mark breaking all records. However, while Akshay’s film is far behind, it's not a complete failure. OMG 2 has emerged as a decent box office hit and has minted Rs 114.31 crore due to its realistic performances and the riveting subject.

The makers of OMG 2 also gave a beautiful shoutout to Gadar 2 in their film. A scene from the movie had Akshay Kumar’s character sing the Gadar track ‘Udd Jaa Kale Kawa.’ The actor also urged his fans to shower love on both the movies which are doing well at the box office.
