Akshay Kumar buys pearl necklaces for his Raksha Bandhan co-stars, says 'discount nahi chahiye'

That Akshay Kumar shares a lovely camaraderie with all of his movie co-stars offscreen too is known to all. Such is also the case with his female co-stars from Raksha Bandhan to whom he is now like a brother behind the cameras too. A video has been going viral on social media wherein Akshay can be seen buying pearl necklaces for them in Hyderabad.

Talking about the same, Akshay Kumar can be seen giving his opinion on the pearl necklaces that his Raksha Bandhan co-stars are buying at a jewelry store in Hyderabad. The Phir Hera Pheri actor can be seen telling how he has no idea about jewelry but his onscreen sisters are adamant that they will not buy anything unless he approves it himself. The actor then takes great interest in which necklace is looking good at them. His co-stars from the film namely Sadia Khateeb , Deepika Khanna, and Sahejmeen Kaur can be seen looking elated as he selects the necklaces for them.

Akshay Kumar then finally asks the store staff to pack all the selected necklaces for his Raksha Bandhan co-stars. Director Aanand L Rai also asks for a discount from the store manager but Akshay says ‘discount nahi chahiye.’ Take a look at the endearing video.

In an exclusive interview with Desimartini, Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan co-star Sadia Khateeb told us how the megastar treated all of them like his real sisters on the sets of the film. The actress had said, “He made us feel so comfortable and there was no feeling as such of being nervous or intimidated. From day one to the last day of the shoot, I didn't feel like I was working with 'The Akshay Kumar', he was all the time in his character of that of my brother and that's how he made me feel. He was all hearts and he made everyone feel so comfortable. He treated all of us as his little sisters. There was no feeling of being nervous or intimidated.” Talking about the film, it also stars Bhumi Pednekar in the lead role and is slated to release on August 11, 2022.
